Learn From Each Other
Dexmo is the place to share knowledge with other students and help each other study and revise. Dexmo provides you with the tools to organise and condense the content on the site relevant to you. Once you have that content you can put it into your own custom mind maps, which you can use for revision.
Main Categories
Suggest new main categories for the site. Simply fill in and submit the form direct to us. If it looks useful it will go live on the site. When your suggested main category is approved it will show up on your profile page for everyone to see, as well as being on the home page.
Sub-Categories
As soon as a main category appears on the site you and any other registered users are free to add sub-categories under it.
Pages
All registered users can add pages within any sub-category (or directly underneath a main category). You can also add a page at the same time as creating a new sub-category, so they both appear on the site instantly.
Your Profile
Your profile page lists all of your main categories submitted & approved and all the sub-categories and pages that you have created. This information is then used to display the total number of votes you have received from other registered users and your overall rank on dexmo. It also records how many times you have voted on dexmo. You can also add information about yourself to your profile.
Your Rank
Every registered user on the site has an overall rank displayed on their profile page, which is dictated by the number of votes they receive.
Everytime a registered user votes for a main, sub-category or page added by you, what they vote for increases in rank/importance on the site. As the creator you also receive these points to increase your overall personal rank on the site.
However, everytime a user votes against a category or page added by you it decreases the rank/importance of it - and also your number of votes and overall rank.
More About Rank
Everything on dexmo is displayed by rank by default so the best is always at the top.
